Recommended Resources

For this site, this is the most practical reference for what is taught here. It contains entries in both Ojibwe and English, with the Ojibwe section containing more words than the English. This makes translating sentences from Ojibwe to English easier. It also has several other entries, such as the part of speech (noun, verb...), the participle, first person conjugation, the locative, and diminutive. (See an example page here.)

Though we will not be using the omission of unstressed, weak vowels (syncope) in these lessons, those interested in focusing on the Eastern dialects, may want to use this reference instead. Entries are similar to the other reference.
